Our Antique Tin Ceiling Tiles are reclaimed pressed tin roofing shingles which became popular between the 1830’s and 1910, during the “Victorian Style” of building. Galvanized roof shingles were both stylish and long lasting, and saw much use on homes and barns in the Mid-Atlantic Region. They were especially popular in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, and the Carolinas.
There are several classic designs that are still manufactured and used today for roofing and siding.
Our Antique Tin Ceiling Tiles were originally installed on a barn roof on the Maryland/Pennsylvania state line, near Gettysburg.
